CHARLES F. BISCHOF, JR., 86, Long Pond, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

 

Born in New Albany, Indiana, he was the son of the late Charles and Hilda (Ricke) Bischof. He was a graduate of Flaget High School and the University of Louisville, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Chuck served our country proudly in the United States Air Force, during the Korean Conflict and upon discharge continued to support our armed services as an engineer with North American Rockwell and Boeing. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Pocono Pines and Pocono Pines American Legion. He enjoyed tinkering with model airplanes; playing stand-up bass and astronomy.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his five sisters: Dorothy, Catherine, Florence, Bobbi, and Margie.

 

He is survived by his wife, Florence Gallagher Bischof; daughters Bobbie Jo Jonas (Robert),  Chesapeake, VA; Maricia  Kimbrell (Joseph), Flowery Branch, GA; together with four grandchildren and  several nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on July 31, 2021, at 10:00 am in St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Pocono Crest Rd, Pocono Pines with Father Sean Carpenter officiating.

 

Friends are invited for a memorial visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church.
